Behind the Mission: Our Story

For over 20 years, the Midlands Foundation for Foster Children has been working to make life a little brighter for foster youth in the Midlands of South Carolina. Our mission is simple but powerful: to improve the quality of life for children in foster care and to encourage their pursuit of higher education.

We focus on filling the critical gaps that county, state, and federal agencies often can’t - providing everything from school supplies and laptops to emergency assistance and college scholarships. Our all-volunteer Executive Board works year-round to raise funds and direct resources where they’re needed most. This work wouldn’t be possible without our generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and caring community partners.

 

Together, we’re showing Midlands foster children that they’re seen, supported, and never alone.
